A Manifesto for Creative Producing

an interdisciplinary collaboration, building community and adaptive frameworks for creative producing and defining the role of the Creative Producer

co-creator, web designer

A Manifesto for Creative Producing was originally developed as part of the Creative Producers Program for the Ars Electronica Festival 2021, and was a six-week program led by Lizzie Crouch (UK) and Nicholas Medvesck (USA) that gathered an international cohort of 22 emerging and established practitioners from different sectors and cultures, with different abilities and lived experience, with the aim of creating a Manifesto for Creative Producing.

For many, having self-defined as a Creative Producer or developed a Creative Producing practice independently, the program was a place to find community, build collective identity, learn from / examine our practices, and challenge current production models that reinforce dominant perspectives, while we collectively co-authored this manifesto for Creative Producing.

The manifesto is the work of Allison Costa (US), Ana Prendes (GB), Christiana Kazakou (GB), Cui Yin Mok (SG), Hyash Tanmoy (IN), Illya Szilak (US), Ilona Puskas (HU), Justin Berry (US), Kavita Gonsalves (AU), Kazz Morohashi (GB), Kofi Oduro (CA), Komal Jain (IN), Lizzie Crouch (GB), Madhushree Kamak (IN), Maria Kuzmina (RU), Mark Bolotin (AU), Matt Gingold (AU), Nicholas Medvescek (US), Ravin Raori (GB), Robin Reid (US), Viviana Quea (AT) & Zeynep Birsel (NL).
